Candidates for the forthcoming election are leaving no stone unturned to garner the confidence and trust of the general public.  ‘Let our land prosper in truth’ seemed to be the slogan for Dr. Longriniken, the Nagaland People’s Front (N.P.F) candidate for 29 Jangpetkong Assembly Constituency.

While making declaration of his candidature at Mangkolemba Town today, the Doctor from Khar Village thanked the people of the town for supporting him. During his speech, he said that on hearing about his intentions for contesting in the forthcoming election, various parties approached him to represent their party yet he chose NPF since he considers himself a proud Naga. He declared that he is willing to sacrifice his life for the people and said that if he is elected, he would revamp the deplorable roads in the area and work towards bringing all round development. He also emphasized the importance of youth and women in the present Naga society.  Claiming that the present day belong to the youth, he challenged them to step forward with a clear vision and a united front, and work for a better land. He also encouraged the people to have a fair and peaceful polling and not to resort to violent means of any kind.
