DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 16 (MExN): Department of History, Livingstone Foundation International College organized a one-day educational trip to Kohima on November 14 as part of Departmental activity. During the trip, the students visited Kohima War Cemetery, Nagaland State Museum and Pizo Hill Kohima. Students from 1st, 3rd and 5th semester along with two faculties participated in the trip.

At Kohima War Cemetery, the students learnt about the sacrifices made by the soldiers during the 2nd World War in defending their nation and they also learnt about the importance of preserving those places to immortalize those brave soul.

The next stop was at the Nagaland State Museum where varieties of exhibits on Naga culture and History were displayed. The students received first hand information about the potteries, metallurgies, burials, art etc of the pre-Historic Naga History. They also learnt about the prospect of archaeology in Nagaland and their importance to unravel the history of ancestors. The trip culminated at Phizo Hill, where the students were briefed about the role of A Z Phizo in Naga National Movement.

The aim of the trip was to enlighten the student and to create zeal among the students on Naga history, a press release informed.
