
Dimapur, October 19 (MExN): The Red Ribbon Club of Livingstone Foundation International College (LFIC) observed a mental health awareness programme on October 19 with the theme, "Be kind to your Mind."
Gracing the event as the guest of honour, Linoto Assumi, a Psychotherapist from Eden Medical Centre emphasised on significant influence of the environment on mental health.
"Are you a virus, or a cure?,” she posed, while stressing on the importance of seeking help at the right time and being a source of support in someone's life, even without professional training.
Meanwhile, Tiaienla Amri (5th semester, Bachelor of Arts) and Mr. Ringthar Langthasa (3rd semester Bachelor of Commerce) secured the 1st and 2nd positions, respectively, in the Poster Making Competition held on the occasion.
Lemtsa Thuvuri (3rd-semester BA) won Slogan Writing Competition.
Other highlights of the programme included drama presented by the Red Ribbon Club shedding light on the factors leading to slow, traumatic effects on mental health and alternative ways to address such trauma.
Earlier Sashirenla Mollier, LFIC Academic Dean welcomed the gathering while it ended with vote of thanks delivered by Dipika Agarwal, the Nodal Officer of the Red Ribbon Club at LFIC.
