Dimapur, April 4 (MExN): Lions Club of Dimapur organised a two-day Free Eye Screening camp for IOL surgery (cataract) in association with Jorhat Lions Eye Hospital on April 3 and 4 at the Lions Health Centre, Dimapur.
According to a press release, altogether 980 patients were given free checkup and free medicines were distributed. Out of the total, 140 patients have been referred for IOL surgery and will be sent to Jorhat Lions Eye Hospital, Jorhat in different batches, it said, while adding that all expenses including travel, lodging and operation costs would be borne by the Lions Club of Dimapur.
Meanwhile project chairperson Lion Pawan Maheshwari appreciated the tireless service rendered by the doctor and his team, members of Lions Club of Dimapur, Dimapur Blue Vanda, Leo members and others for their support, the release stated.
