Dimapur, October 27 (MExN): The Nagaland State Level Science Drama Competition (SLSDC) was held under the theme ‘Science & Technology for the Benefit of mankind’ at Innovation Hub-Nagaland Science Centre, Dimapur on October 27.
The Nagaland SLSDC-2023 was won by Little Star Hr Sec School, Dimapur and the school will be representing the State at the Zonal Level i.e. the North-East Zone Science Drama Competition on November 24 at Regional Science Centre, Guwahati, a press release received here stated.
The event was graced by Bendang Walling, a theatre practitioner and filmmaker, an Alumni of National School of Drama- New Delhi, also the Artistic Director of Hill Theatre, Nagaland as the special guest and chief judge.
Science Drama Competition is an annual event which is organised across the country with a primary aim to showcase juvenile artistic creativity and to use the medium of drama as a potent tool for dealing with socio-scientific issues of current importance in the society. The Competition begins at the State Level, followed by the Regional level and ultimately culminates at the National Level i.e. The National Science Drama Festival (NSDF) is organised and managed by the National Council of Science Museums. The Nagaland SLSDC is sponsored and organised by the Department of Science & Technology, Govt of Nagaland.
