Observes Teachers’ day, International Day of the World’s Indigenous People

Dimapur, September 6 (MExN): Livingstone Foundation International (LFI), Dimapur celebrated the Teachers’ Day along with its multi-talent annual programme ‘LFI Got Talent’ on September 5. The institute also marked International Day of the World’s Indigenous People where the students put on display miniature tableaus depicting the diverse life and culture of the Maoris of New Zealand, Massais of Africa, Ainus of Japan and Samoas of Polynesia.

LFI Information Desk in a press release stated that students of various grades presented dance, singing, speech, poetry recitation, and display of martial arts, instrumentals and many more. 

LFI Chairman, Dr Andrew Ahoto Sema and Director, Ani Yepthomi, along with other invitees, parents and guardians were present during the occasion. The event was also attended by Alobo Naga, a visiting mentor of music at LFI. The panel of judges on the occasion included Skills Mentors of LFI, Lironi Kithan, Music Mentor, Tiayanger Imsong, Martial Art Mentor, Imlimongba, Art & Calligraphy Mentor and Talitemjen, Zumba Mentor.

The 1st Prize was clinched by Imnatoshi Longkumer of Grade-XI Arts for his display of Taekwondo Steps while the 2nd Prize was won by Karma Chozom of Grade-IX for her Mashup Dance item. Sentilong Lemtur of Grade-XI Arts bagged 3rd Prize for his rendition of ‘River Flows in You’. Three consolation prizes were also presented to Jiya Bhagat &. Monika Kumari of Grade-X for their Duet Dance performance, Parinaya Sharma for her Hindi Dance and Aman Dey of Grade-VIII for his ‘De Tali’ performance.

The programme came to close with felicitation of the mentors, special invitees and the winners of the ‘LFI Got Talent Show’ by the Chairman and Director. Few mentors and staff members of the school who have completed momentous 10 to 20 years of service were also felicitated during the occasion.
