
Dimapur, January 19 (MExN): The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) Nagaland Unit has set up its new head office Building in Thilixu Village.
A press release from the unit informed that the party had also resolved to elevate Viloto Pukhato as State Working President from Vice-President.
“The party is confident that under his dynamic leadership, the people of Nagaland will be benefitted, particularly Nagas in general,” it added.
Meanwhile, the unit also informed that its National Party Office in New Delhi has written to Election Commission of India for allotting the Party Election symbol in all the 60 Nagaland Assembly seats in the upcoming General Election.
In the letter dated January 13, the party called for allotment of “Helicopter” symbol to its candidates in the forthcoming election. A copy was also served to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Nagaland, it said.
Nagaland goes to poll on February 27.
Extend festive greetings
Meanwhile, the LJP (Ram Vilas) Nagaland Unit has extended festival greetings to Khiamniungan and Tikhir community.
Greeting the Khiamniungans on the occasion of Khaozaosie-hok-ah festival, the party expressed hope the festival would bring a time of peace, reconciliation and happiness throughout the year.
In the same vein, it conveyed Kuhlang-Nyi greetings to Tikhir and conveyed prayers that the festival would bring a peace and oneness among the Nagas.
