Mokokchung, January 12 (MExN): The Langpangkong Kaketshir Mungdang (LKM) Conference 2019 concluded on January 11 with Advisor for Industries & Commerce, NIDC, Imnatiba as the guest of honour at Akhoya village under the theme ‘Pokchi Yonrak' (Bond of Integrity).
The guest of honour in his speech emphasized the LKM the importance of “sports vision” for the player and to choose wisely their interest and find game they fit in and added “commitment is the basis of excelling in any field to the extent of national and international.”
He put forward an agenda saying that it will be good if we promote sports sponsors scheme with a view to support and encourage talent and create pool of sportsperson. He said that life has many options and it is the need of the hour to create a new generation of globally conscious youth who are passionate about bringing a lasting change. “It will be wise if we could organize some resource persons who are successful in different areas to pave ways to the youths to be a successful person in future,” he added.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by outgoing official of LKM. Amenla, Associate Pastor, Akhoya Baptist church invoked Gods presence followed by a brief flashback of the whole event by Media & Publicity Committee.
Imlimeren Jamir, Director Rural Development exhorted the student community basing on “know your potential” on the importance of planning their own career and knowing self where do they stand on the present ever changing competitive world. He mentioned “what is to be done, do it today” and it is wise to identify ones capability.
Mapulila Imsong presented a song. Oshilu Jamir, Secretary for Local Planning Committee Akhoya and I Chubasenba Lkr, Convenor LKM Planning Committee has acknowledged all those who supported towards the success of the conference.
The LKM elected a team of office bearers for the tenure 2019-2023 with the following members: President: Washimong (Wameken); Vice President: Tiakumzuk (Chuchuyimlang); General Secretary: Temjentoshi (Changtongya); and Finance secretary: Marnukshi (Mongsenyimti).
