LLINs fortnight activities in Peren district concludes

Peren, March 1 (MExN): National Center for Vector Borne Diseases Control (NCVBDC) under CMO Peren has concluded the observance of 1st phase Long Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLINs)fortnight activities in the District. 

The fortnight activities which started on February 14 concluded on February 28 under the Supervision of District Vector Borne Disease Officer, Dr Hedungkiebe and District Consultant Vimekhrie-ii Metsieo. Dr Hedungkiebe stated that LLINs which were distributed and covered the whole district on 2021 plays a key important role in curbing Malaria and hence maximum usage needs to be encouraged and therefore, the Fortnight activities will also play a role to reach out to maximum number of audience. 

The fortnight activities included house to house visits conducted by Block Malaria Technical Supervisors, Surveillance Workers of District NCVBDC Cell and ASHAs of the district, wherein house to fever screening, LLINs usage survey and awareness about proper/correct usage of LLINs, importance of Early diagnosis and treatment of Malaria were also imparted. 

District Consultant, Vimekhrie-ii Metsieo also added that while the Fortnight activities were conducted throughout the district, special emphasis was given to selected strategic villages in all the 4 Blocks of Peren.
