LMFN conclave cum leaders’ induction program held

Dimapur, July 29 (MExN): The Linguistic Minority Forum of Nagaland (LMFN) organized the ‘LMFN Conclave Cum Leaders Induction Program’ at 'The Four Season' Conference Hall in Dimapur. The event saw participation from community leaders, LMFN members, and well-wishers.

The meeting aimed to discuss the forum's objectives and to induct selected executive members from the Non-Naga Minority community living in Nagaland. Bishnu Bhattacharjee, the convenor of the conclave, emphasized that LMFN is a non-profit, non-political, and social organization dedicated to preserving and protecting the constitutional rights of minorities in Nagaland. He highlighted the forum's commitment to the welfare of children, youth, and elders within the minority community.

In their speeches, non-Naga leaders expressed their commitment to the welfare of all citizens in the state. Notable speakers included Kumar Subba (Gorkha Community), Rabinderjit S Paneswar (Punjabi Community), Harinder Singh Parmar (Bihari Community), Brij Kishor (Bhojpuri Community), Kabir Ahmed Choudhury (Muslim Community), Sahir Uddin (Assamese Community), and Advocate Arun KR Mishra. They conveyed gratitude for the united efforts of LMFN's founders and stressed the platform's potential to be the voice of the minority community in times of need. Various NGOs and individuals also shared their perspectives, extending best wishes for LMFN's success and pledging their support. The assembly affirmed its support for Bishnu Bhattacharjee's leadership as chairman of the forum and endorsed the setup of office bearers. It was resolved that two members from each non-Naga community would be inducted as Community Nominated members to address minority community issues and welfare, and to communicate these to legal authorities.
