Poetry Festival on ‘Child Rights’

Dimapur, March 16 (MExN):
North East Zone Cultural Centre, jointly with the United Tribal Society will be organizing Poetry Festival on the theme of Child Rights at NEZCC Complex from March 17 to 19. NEZCC   Director, Som Kamei, IPS in a press release said that this programme is organized with the objective of highlighting the issue of Child Rights and bring about more public awareness on the subject. The main highlights of the festival will be Poetry Reading Competition (on Child Rights), Drawing Competition on Child Rights (for children of age group of 8 to 16 years), and Workshop on Child Rights and Screening of Documentaries/Films on Children. The programme will culminate with a prize distribution to the winners on March 19.

Festivity & border interaction on Mar 18

Kohima, March 16 (MExN):
The state’s department of art & culture in collaboration with North East Zone Culture Centre is organizing “Festivity & border interaction” (Border Area Programme) at Pangsha village in Tuensang district on March 18. Artistes from Pangsha village (Nagaland) and Myanmar will present interesting cultural items as well as showcase their rich handicrafts at the said programme. The programme will be graced by ADC, Noklak. This was stated in a release issued by Vikheshe Sumi, deputy director, art & culture.

KTBWU combined service on March 18

Dimapur, March 16 (MExN):
The Kohima Town Baptist Women Union (KTBWU) will be having a combined service on the theme ‘Grace’ on March 18, 2011 at 3:00 pm at the Chakhesang Baptist Church, Kitsubozou. A press note issued by the president KTBWU informed that Ayangla Shilu will lead the programme while the speaker will be Sentinaro Jing.  The note also requested all the women leaders, Church representatives and members to attend the service.

NBCC member schools informed

Dimapur, March 16 (MExN):
The Education & Communication department of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) informs NBCC member schools that syllabus for common question for Mid-Term for class 9 and 10 is ready. Education and Communication secretary Evangeline, through a press release has requested the schools to get the syllabus within this week from NBCC office.

Government declares MAC under RD
 
Kohima, March 16 (DIPR):
The Government of Nagaland has declared the Municipal Affairs Cell under Urban Development Department as the State Nodal Agency to implement the Interest Subsidy Scheme for Housing the Urban Poor (ISHUP), which will identify, motivate and organise beneficiaries under the ISHUP schemes. This notification was issued by the Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Norman Putsure.
