DCU informs

Dimapur, January 9 (MExN):
The Dimapur Chang Union (DCU) will be celebrating the Poang Lum festival on January 12, 2011 at 10:00 am at the residence of Mrs. Achila Chongsen, Duncan Basti, Dimapur. A press note issued by S. Imli Chang, general secretary, DCU informed all the concern members to come and attend the festival. The in-laws are also invited to the festival.

SKK general conference from January 27 to 30

Dimapur, January 9 (MExN):
The All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) 45th General Conference will be held at Alaphumi Village, under Akuluto sub-division, Zunheboto district from January 27 to 30, 2011. The conference will be held under the theme ‘Conscientious Advancing’, with G. Kaito Aye, Minister for Road & Bridges, Government of Nagaland as chief guest, Kheto, MLA Nagaland, Dr. K.C. Nihoshe, Parliamentary Secy. Industries & Commerce Government of Nagaland, Prof. K. Kannan, Vice Chancellor, Nagaland Universities, and Shetoi Yeptho, M.L.A & Chairman NHHDC Government of Nagaland as guests of honour in the introductory session, theme session, literary session and valedictory sessions respectively. Mughato K. Swu, general secretary, SKK informs that in the conference, Dr. Hotokhu Chishi, Dy. Director Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland will be the resource person in the theme session, Rev. Dr. Hevukhu Achumi, Director, Sumi Baptist Convention as speaker in the devotional service and Avitoli Zhimo, Assistant Professor, Delhi University as resource person in the seminar on the topic “Imitation antagonizes Globalization’. The Conference debate will be on the topic ‘Developed/Advanced countries are responsible for global warming’.  The conference will also feature sports and cultural competition, and Nito Theological College Zunheboto as Conference Choir.
