BKD mass social work on May 7

Dimapur, May 4 (MExN):
Benreului Kangbau Dimapur (BKD) would be having a mass social work on 7th May, 5: A.M at BKD Plot Nagarjan opposite Kuda Baptist church. All have been requested to attend the social work and bring spade, sack and other equipments.

Committee on Public Accounts meeting

Dimapur, May 4 (MExN):
The first meeting of the Committee on Public Accounts, Nagaland Legislative Assembly will be held on May 11 at 11:00 am in the Assembly Committee Room. The Committee will discuss on the works position of the Committee and chalk out for the next activities. While informing this, in a press release A. E Lotha secretary, NLA has requested all members of the Public Accounts Committee to make it convenient to attend the meeting positively.  

DDADU informs general public

Dimapur, May 4 (MExN): The Dimapur District Auto Drivers’ Union, president Akaho Kiba has informed the general public and students those travel and ply by auto rickshaw to take note of registration number in regard to lost and found and to take care of their things, documents etc that they are carrying. It further directs the auto drivers to check the auto autorickshaw after dropping every passenger and submit any goods, items, documents etc left by passengers in their respective autos to the head office of DDADU. Moreover, it informed that defaulters will be penalized.

NRCU NEF elects office bearers

Dimapur, May 4 (MExN):
The All Nagaland Railway Contractors’ Union (NEF) registered body, had its annual general meeting on May 1 at VIP Lounge Rly Station. A new team of members were elected with president Vihoshe, vice president I. Nungsang jamir, treasurer Tovihoto H. Ayemi, secretary press & media A. Andrew, secretary Botoho Swu, joint secretary W. NTJCC meeting on May 5

Dimapur, May 4 (MExN):
The executive meeting of the Nagaland Tribal’s Joint Coordination Committee (NTJCC) will be held at Phaipijang Village, Dimapur on May 5 at 2:00 pm. Therefore, all the executive members are requested to attend the meeting positively.  

PVSU emergency meeting on May 7

Dimapur, May 4 (MExN):
The Pangti Village Students’ Union (PVSU) will hold its emergency meeting on May 7 at 10:00 AM at its Union’s office at Pangti village. In this connection, all executive have been informed to attend the said meeting positively. Failing which the absentees will be counted responsible for further untoward incident, a release received here said.

Timber Contractors meeting on May 5

Dimapur, May 4 (MExN):
The Timber Contractors under Timber Contractors’ Union, Dimapur are informed that an emergency meeting will be held on May 5 at 9:00 am in the office at Purana Bazar (KC Complex). Therefore, all concerned are requested by the general secretary I. Watu Lemtor to attend the meeting without fail.

World AIDS Orphans Day on May 7

Dimapur, May 4 (MExN):
Nagaland State AIDS Control Society along with FXB  Suraksha will observe World AIDS Orphans Day on May 7 at 10:am; State Academy Hall, Kohima, under  the theme “Child Rights”. All concerned individuals, NGO’s and media are invited to be part of the function.

YAN executive meeting on May 7

The executive meeting of the Youth Association of Nagaland will be held on May 7 at 10:00 am at the Association office. Therefore all concern executive officials are requested to attend the meeting positively.

Mech Kachari cultural workshop held

Dimapur, May 4 (MExN):
A Mech Kachari cultural workshop under the theme “Presentation of ancestral culture and tradition” , organized by the Mech Kachari Students’ Union (MKSU) and Mech Kachari Youth Front (MKYF) in association with the All Bodo Students’ Union was from April 28 to May 3. MKSU Dimapur President, Ratul Mech, in a press release said that the workshop was organized at two different venues; viz. Kushiabill and Purana Bazar-B villages with resource persons imparted training on Kachari traditional dances and traditional musical instruments from Assam. The workshop was participated by large numbers of young boys and girls from the Mech Kachari villages of Dimapur. The elders of the community actively supported the programme and lauded the organizers for organising this kind of innovative programmes.

The Naga Students’ Union, Kolkata (NSUK) informs that it has elected its new office bearers. ANSTGA emergency meeting on May 5

Dimapur, May 4 (MExN):
The All Nagaland Small Tea Growers’ Association (ANSTGA) convened an emergency meeting of office bearers and unit president and secretaries of ANSTGA on May 5 at 10:00 am at its head office, 2 1/2 miles, Dimapur. A press note issued by D Hukiye KIbami, president and I Imi Yaden general secretary ANSTGA informs to the growers who are willing to for legal consultancy to kindly send through unit for the following points: cheque which does not tally with their plantation, whose cheque does not issue despite re-inspection, whose district does not re-inspect yet, growers who  could not suit their relevant document claiming subsidy after obtaining ‘no-objection certificate and planted tea during 2006-2009 owing to sudden stoppage by Tea-Board.
