Appeal to Directorate SCERT Kohima

Dimapur, May 11 (MExN):
In an open letter addressed to the Directorate SCERT Kohima, the concerned authority has been requested to publish the detail marks obtained by all the candidates in both written and oral examination of the recent declared result of teacher’s post. The result was declared on May 8, 2011. While making the appeal, one K Simon Phom (MA Education) from Longleng said that he appeared both written examination and oral interview for the post of graduate teacher which was created in the concern department under Longleng district. “I have full confidence that I have done well; however, when the result was declared on May 8, I was not selected,” Phom stated. He also appeals to clarify whether the selection was done on the “basis of merits or on B.Ed holders.”

EC gears up for counting of votes

New Delhi, May 11 (PTI):
The results of the Assembly polls in five States are expected by noon on Friday when the counting of votes would start at 839 counting halls spread over Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. An elaborate three tier security arrangement has been put in place for the exercise, which would start at 8 AM involving 43,982 officials and nearly 17,700 central security personnel keeping a hawk eyed vigil. “By early lunch”, was the response of Chief Election Commissioner S Y Quraishi when asked when the first result is expected of the keenly contested elections. The entire exercise, which would decide the fate of several political heavyweights, would be video graphed to prevent any malpractice, the CEC told reporters.

e-Governance Plan training from May 23

Kohima, May 11 (DIPR):
The Department of Information Technology & Communication in association with the National Institute for Smart Governance (NISG) Hyderabad, will be organizing a training programme on ‘e-Governance Plan (NeGP). The training is scheduled from May 23 to 27 at the Conference Hall, ‘The Heritage’ (old DC Bungalow) Kohima and the timing will be from 9:30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
The objective of the training is to equip and empower the participants with a range of emerging and best practices of e-Governance and delivery of citizen services. The training module is designed for Heads of Departments, Heads of District Office and IT Nodel Officers of Administration and Directorate officers. The Department of Information Technology & Communication has through training circular informed all Administrative Heads of Departments to nominate eligible officers of respective departments on or before May 17.
