AYO wishes new team of NSF

Dimapur, May 4 (MExN):
The Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) congratulates the new team of office bearers of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) on their election for the tenure 2011-2013 in the 24th General Conference of the NSF which was held in Pfütsero, Phek. A press note issued by Khrielievi Chusi, AYO president stated that the AYO would also like to specially congratulate Kelhouneizo Yhome on being elected as the President of the Naga Students’ Federation for the tenure 2011-2013. “Kelhouneizo Yhome, has been an active student activist since his high school days. The AYO hopes that under his experienced and dynamic leadership the NSF in particular and the student community in general will move forward from strength to strength,” stated the note. The AYO also wishes the new NSF team the very best in all its endeavors.

Longwa NPF party expels one

Dimapur, May 4 (MExN):
Longwa Village 44 A/C Phomching NPF party held an emergency meeting on April 9, 2011 at Longwa village. A press note issued by Nokkam Konyak, president, Longwa Village NPF party informed that in the meeting, party workers have unanimously decided to expel 44 A/C youth wing president N. Longshah Konyak, since he was involved in anti activities against NPF party. The note also stated that the same copy has been submitted to 44 A/C NPF unit and Mon division NPF. Therefore, Longwa Village president Nokkam Konyak has directed and requested NPF party workers of Mon division as well as NPF party, Nagaland that from this day no one should accept or entertain N. Longshah Konyak in any matter since he is completely rejected from our village hence any one involving with him should stop from now on. 

ZSUN Appeals

Kohima, May 4 (MExN):
The Zeliangrong Students’ Union  Nagaland (ZSUN) once again appeal to all the timber/Logging operators that, as per the 5th presidential council meeting held at Jalukie to ban operation of timber under Peren district starting from 1st January in order to avoid damage of newly constructed road within the district. A press communiqué issued by President, Penam and Secretary Finance, Kobe Guing ZSUN requested the timber/logging operators to kindly co-operate with the union. Further it stated that any incident arises in this connection, the students’ organization shall not be responsible for it.

Mokokchung, May 4 (DIPR):
All the government vehicles requisitioned for election purpose have been directed to report on May 5 at 12:00 Noon at Imkongmeren sports Complex Mokokchung before T. Moa Lemtur EAC, Officer-in-Charge of Transport. Returning Officer, Mokokchung Lithrongla G. Chishi has fixed the 13th May 2011, 8:00 a.m. as the date and time for the counting of votes in the by-election to 26-Aonglenden Assembly constituency and Town Hall, Mokokchung as the place for counting. 

Torechu appointed as new Kiphire DPDB Chairman

Dimapur, May 4 (MExN): All the Kiphire District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) members are informed that the Government of Nagaland has appointed Torechu, Parliamentary Secretary, CAWD as the new Kiphire DPDB Chairman with immediate effect vide Government Notification No. PLN-40/2005, dated 2/5/2011.
S. Akho Theyo, District Planning Officer & Members Secretary, DPDB, Kiphire while informing this in a press release also stated that the Chairman appeals to all the Kiphire DPDB members to compulsorily attend the DPDB meeting scheduled to be held on May 13 (Friday) at 11:00 AM in the office chamber of the Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire. Besides the normal discussion of agenda, there will be a PowerPoint presentation on Naga Swan Pot and CSC project by Haisui Riame, Coordinator, Terasoftware. All the Kiphire DPDB members are, requested to attend the meeting without fail.
