
Dimapur, March 1 (MExN): In the backdrop of being elected as a MLA from 51-Noksen Assembly constituency under Tuensang district, CM Chang, the lone Member of Parliament from Nagaland to the Lok Sabha has decided to resign from parliament. In a statement to the media, Chang, whose tenure as MP would have ended in 2014, said that his resignation as MP was to serve the people of his constituency and the Nagas in general. While thanking the people of his constituency for electing him as their representative, Chang also extended his gratitude to Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu and Neiphiu Rio for giving him the NPF ticket. He further congratulated them for the “thumping victory of the NPF under their able and astute leadership.”
