Longleng, July 26 (MExN): District Administration and Mahila Shakti Kendra, Longleng organized felicitation programme for meritorious girl students of the recently declared HSLC and HSSLC examination 2021 under the programme ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ in Longleng on July 24.
A total of 34 meritorious girl students under Longleng district were awarded with cash prize and meritorious certificate.
A DIPR report stated that, DC M Shayung Phom encouraged the students to work hard and have ambition in life and spoke on the importance of education giving special preference to Girl child education. He appreciated the teachers for their contribution towards the success of the meritorious students.
Purtoshi, Education Secretary, PSC Longleng and Trongdiba Tongpi, SDO (C) Longleng also spoke during the programme.
Special prayer for the students was offered by Tialemba Phom, executive secretary PBCA Longleng and the programme was chaired by Phungla Phom, WWO MSK Longleng.
