ILP holders directed to dispose old cards and get new ones
Longleng, October 30 (DIPR): In order to review the working system of Inner Line Permit (ILP) under Longleng district, a coordination meeting of the district administration and police force was held on October 27 at the office chamber of the Deputy Commissioner, Longleng.
The house decided to take up certain measures to strengthen ILP system and to check movement of illegal immigrants. Therefore, every ILP holder under Longleng district has been directed to dispose the old ILP at the DC office and get a new ILP card from the same office.
As decided, the ID proof for applying new Inner Line Permit are Aadhaar/Bank Account, EPIC Card, Permanent Residential Certificate issued by the DCs of the respective home district for residents of Assam, Character Antecedent issued by the SP of respective home district for the residents of Assam and two recent colour passport size photos of both guarantor and person applying. The guarantor will be held responsible for deportation of immigrants without ILP.
