Chairman Lotha Hoho declares the 11th Edition of the Lotha Football Championship tournament opened at local ground Wokha.
Wokha, January 28 (MExN): The 11th Edition of the Lotha Football Championship (LFC) 2022 organised by Wokha District Football Association (WDFA) kicked off today at local ground Wokha.
In the opening match of the championship, XI Brothers defeated Old Aree Sporting Club by a solitary goal. XI Brothers’ Along scored the lone goal in the minute.
In the second match, Lower “E” Khel defeated Longsa Sports Association by 3-1.
Earlier, gracing the opening ceremony as the special guest, Chairman Lotha Hoho, Er Mhondamo Ovung called upon the players to be disciplined, hardworking and dedicated so that they will achieve their goals in life.
He further encouraged them to take up sports as a profession and not just as a leisure-pursuit and exhibit their talents in the true spirit of the game.
Er Ovung also lauded the WDFA for organising the tournament and creating platform for the youngsters to display their talents, inforend a press release from the association.
