Lotha Public Organisation clarifies to LH

Dimapur, September 28 (MExN): Apropos to the press statement issued by Lotha Hoho (LH) chairman Er Mhondamo Ovung and general secretary, S Aben Ngullie on September 27, the Lotha public Organisation (LPO) has clarified that Yansathung Jami and Y. Mhonchumo Lotha were endorsed by the LPO to represent in Naga Hoho.

LPO chairman, Sulanthung Humtsoe and general secretary, Zaremo Kikon in a press statement reiterated that the duo were approved and endorsed by the LPO to dispense representation in the interest of the organisation. “Therefore, the 10-day notice served by the unapproved, unmandated group of Er Mhondamo and S. Aben Ngullie team is unjustified, Illogical and irrational. LPO view the 10-day notice as very strange, derogatory and unacceptable and termed it as null and void,” the Organisation stated.

LPO suggested Er. Mhondamo and S. Aben Ngullie team “not to display double standard tactics with the sentiments of general Lotha public with an intention to cover up the unauthentic stage managed selection process on December 3, 2018.” LPO asserted that the selection day video clips are available in the LPO office for further reference and evidence if required.

LPO maintained that with the term-end tenure of four years, the previous LH team did not conduct general conference neither did they substantiate general secretary and finance secretary report.

The organisation also expressed regret that a Reverend dedicated the unapproved, unmandated team of office bearers. “God’s servant should maintain neutrality and impartiality on such sensitive issues,” it added.

It also said that branding LPO as “illegal and anti-Lotha is very derogatory and highly questionable” and alleged that Er. Mhondamo and S Aben team are “illegal and anti-Lotha and conspicuous” as they are not approved by the general Lotha public.

Therefore, the LPO urged them to voluntarily relinquish themselves from the office and conduct fresh selection based on LH guidelines to promote peace and tranquility in Lotha region.
