Loyola HSS Kiphire annual sports meet commences

Loyola Higher Secondary School, Kiphire (LHSSK) annual sports meet 2024, kicked off with Col Vikee Lamoria, Commandant, 41 Assam Rifles as special guest at the School ground on April 10. The inaugural function was attended by School Management board, parents, and alumni in attendance. 

Touching upon the role played by LHSSK in providing quality education to the people of Kiphire for the past 50 years, Col Vikee Lamoria said, people of Kiphire has tremendously benefited and extended his appreciation to LHSSK for the growth of Kiphire district.
Urging students to have dreams and visions in life, the Commandant said first and foremost for any students is to decide what one wants to become in life and when you have decided, you should  start working on it as it is always better to decide early in life so that you can achieve your dream. 

He added that sports not only keep one physically fit and healthy, but plays a vital role in shaping discipline, decision, time management, and handling pressure. 

Rev Fr Philip Magh, Principal LHHSK delivered the welcome address. Annual sports meet kicked off with choreography performance by students of Class 3 & 4, drill display by students of Class, 5,6, and 7, followed by March Past led by Scout & Guide, 4 house & Primary Section. 

The programme was chaired by Apila Gloria and Lumchola, Bible reading and invocation by Rev Sr Alice SABS, Vice Principal, LHSSK, while vote of thanks was proposed by Khumtsase, Coordinator, Sports Committee, LHSSK.
