An LPG distribution agency in Dimapur was sealed today after a suspected COVID-19 case. According to official sources, an employee (in his 60s) of Zinyu Gas Agency died at his home at Churches colony in the morning today. There was no confirmed report of the cause of death, but other sources said that he was overcome with a sudden onset of illness in the morning and fell.
He was rushed to hospital but it could not be ascertained whether he was brought dead to the hospital or died at the hospital. He was reported to have had a history of pre-existing chest and kidney ailments and was working as a chowkidar. His nasal swab sample was collected for TrueNat screening as a precautionary measure, informed one official. It returned positive and further sent for confirmatory RT-PCR test to Kohima.
