
DIMAPUR, FEB 23 (MExN): New Life Bible College (NLBC) and Faith Theological College (FTC) Dimapur were today approved of offering M.Div course in the college by the International Association for Theological Accreditation (IATA) after the evaluation team; Rev.S.Samuel, Pastor & Administrator and International Representative of IATA and Dr. Stalin K.Thomas, International Director of IATA evaluated the facilities and projects and seminars conducted by the institution. Rev.Xashipu, Founder Director of NLBC was inducted as a Board Member of IATA while Rev.Dr.Gangte, Principal NLBC and FTC was appointed as the North East Representative for IATA to introduce IATA in the North Eastern Region and to grow together.
Talking to press people, Dr. Stalin K.Thomas said that the main aim of the IATA was to provide opportunities for the people and also help the students attain maximum qualification through distance education. It also has basic program for free education taking into consideration the condition of the students and with the recommendation of College Director. While saying that he was impressed by the immense capacities and performance of the students, he also said that the library should be improved, the college faculty too through higher studies and to appoint more qualified faculty.
Earlier in the morning, a cultural program was also held to honour the IATA guest at New Life College Campus. Delivering the welcome address, Geoffrey Yaden, Adivisor College Board said that that the church in Nagaland is in the process of maturity and asked God’s blessing to guide the people in everyway.
The program witnessed a number of cultural dance and songs performed by the students of the college for the guests. The program was chaired by Aholi Achumi, opening prayer by Benia, Academic Dean while Nivili offered the benediction.
