Major landslide at National Highway 29
A portion of the NH-29 along Sechu Zubza was disrupted by landslide on October 1.
'Complete restoration of road will take time'

A major landslide on National Highway-29 between Kohima- Dimapur along Sechu Zubza affected vehicular movement today. The landslide occurred around Classic Club waiting shed near Sechu Zubza , resulting blockage of the road.
One truck was buried in the mudslide which was later retrieved. It is reported that a farm house and nursery nearby have been affected. Machinery has been put into place for restoration of the road.
Kohima Traffic Police informed that it would take time for complete restoration of the road and plying of heavy and loaded vehicles is not advisable at present. It advised the vehicle users to take either Jotsoma- Khonoma - Mezoma or Peducha-Tsiesema road.
