
Mokokchung, July 11 (DIPR): The Mangkolemba Sub Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) meeting was held on July 5. Vice-Chairman of the SDPDB & ADC, Mangkolemba, T Imtiwapang Aier reminded all the members to avail proper leave in written when the members are unable to attend the meetings.
The board members deliberated on the proposal submitted by Sub Treasury Officer (STO), Mangkolemba for construction of multiple flat type building for their officers and staffs since the department presently has no accommodation thereby hampering the smooth functioning of the office. The meeting decided to recommend the proposal for onward submission to the government for approval.
Regarding the agenda for construction of EAC office building in Alongkima, EAC Alongkima apprised the members on the deplorable condition of the office stating it is unsafe and beyond repair. The members decided to submit the proposal to the government for approval.
The house further deliberated on the extremely bad quality of water supplied in all the four Administrative HQs, namely ADC HQ Mangkolemba, EAC HQ Longchem, EAC HQ Alongkima and EAC HQ Merangmen under the subdivision. It was pointed out that the water is supplied directly from the streams and is unhealthy for human use, especially during rainy season. In this regard, SDO PHED, Mangkolemba was directed to submit a concept note on augmentation of water supply through stream water source in all the four HQs for onward submission to the government for approval.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chairman of the board expressed dismay regarding the attendance performance of the Government officials and staff posted in the subdivision and requested all the Head of Offices to maintain attendance register which will be inspected by the ADC office.
The recent picketing of the SDEO and BDO office by the Mangkolemba Ao Lanur Telongjem (MALT) was also discussed. In this regard, SDEO highlighted the problems faced by her office due to the absence of the HA who has not reported for duty since the last three years. The ADC assured that all efforts will be taken to settle the issue at the earliest.
BDO, Mangkolemba was directed to run the office regularly from the subdivision and not from Mokokchung since they have to be in constant touch with the villagers or the Board will take the matter to the highest level befitting penalty for the erring officers.
SDO (C) Longchem submitted a proposal for repairing the Longchem-Naganijan road which is in a deplorable condition for commuters to travel. He further requested the PWD department to assist and help the people during the repairing of the road which will be undertaken by the villagers as voluntary social work this month.
With the transfer of Sub Treasury Office from Mokokchung to Mangkolemba and the up-gradation of SBI Mangkolemba from Asst. Manager to Branch Manager thus increasing the Bank Cash Retention limit, the ADC directed all the VDBs Account under the subdivision to be transferred to SBI Mangkolemba. Meanwhile, the department concerned when asked to furnish the details of the accounts expressed their difficulties involved to transfer the accounts citing various problems faced by the BDOs. The issue will be taken up with the Deputy Commissioner & Chairman VDB and Project Director (DRDA), Mokokchung at the earliest.
With regard to the District Award 2016 to be given on Independence Day celebration, the ADC asked the house to nominate deserving candidates from their respective departments and submit to ADC office for onward submission.
The next SDPDB meeting is scheduled on August 5, where work distribution of the Independence Day celebration will be chalked out.
