DIMAPUR, JAN 24 (MExN): Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Outer Manipur Parliamentary constituency Mani Charenamei stated he was “overwhelmed with happiness” by the proclamation of Isak Chishi Swu, Chairman, NSCN (IM) and N. Kitovi, Ato Kilonser of NSCN (K). “The peace initiatives taken by both the leaders deserve deep appreciation from all the Naga bodies and every Naga individual irrespective of position and status”, the MP stated in an appeal. Charenamei pointed out that “there cannot be a finer time than this one for the Naga people to bury the misunderstandings for good in the interest of the future generation”. He appealed to one and all not to undermine the “proclamation” of both the leaders but to appreciate and support the peace initiative which is the most important steps taken by the leaders realizing the yearning for peace by the Naga people, the MP stated.
