Manipur BJP in-charge discusses proposed visit of JP Nadda with party leaders in Manipur

The BJP-led NDA government at the Centre is giving emphasis in all round developments of Manipur, the party’s national spokesperson and newly appointed party in-charge of Manipur, Sambit Patra said on Thursday. The newly appointed BJP in-charge of Manipur arrived in Imphal on Wednesday after his appointment.

On his second day of the tour, he convened a meeting with president of BJP Manipur Pradesh, Prof S Tiken and district level presidents of the party on Thursday at the party office in Imphal. The meeting with the party state leaders discussed issues related with the state and party affairs, the newly appointed Manipur in-charge said at a press conference after the interaction programme. The meeting further discussed the proposed visit of national president Jagat Prakash Nadda in the state as a part of his 120-day tour across the country.

The president was earlier scheduled to arrive in the state on December 1-2. However, it was rescheduled and he is likely to come to the state between December 12 and 14.

Sambit said that any update to the tour programme of JP Nadda will be updated to the media. He is coming to the state basically to make the visit of the national president a success, Sambit Patra said.

Seeking the cooperation of the other party members to make the tour of JP Nadda a success, the national spokesperson of the party said that BJP always dreams for a developed Manipur.

While appointing him as in-charge of Manipur BJP, he was asked to work for bringing forward the state to a better direction, he said, and added that he will leave no stone unturned to make a better Manipur. He claimed that since the very inception of the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government was giving special focus on the all round developments of the state.

In a bid to strengthen the party machinery in every nook and corner of the country for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP national president JP Nadda will undertake a 120-day nationwide tour from December, said Sambit Patra. The tour is expected to start from Uttarakhand on December 5.

According to Patra, JP Nadda will visit every state of the country during his 120-day tour. In every state, he will hold 11-14 meetings or events. He will hold meetings with booth committees, mandal samiti and district level meetings to encourage ground level party workers.
