
Imphal, November 4 (NNN): The Naga Citizen Forum (NCF) of Churchrandpur district, Rongmei Women Society and Village Chief Association of Churachandpur district welcomed the “breakthrough of the Indo-Naga peace talk deadlock and the consensus” arrived at on October 31 in New Delhi. These organizations also expressed “deep gratitude” to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Interlocutor RN Ravi and the Collective Leadership of NSCN(IM) for having the “resoluteness to solve the long pending Indo-Naga political imbroglio, thereby fulfilling the long aspiration of the Nagas.” The organizations also expressed “great” appreciation at the political “maturity and wisdom” of the negotiating Naga leaders and the Government of India. It appealed Naga leaders and the Government of India to come to a “final” settlement without any further delay. “With the subsequent signing of the Indo-Naga final political agreement, the civil society organizations believe a new era of lasting peace, development and liberty will usher in for the Nagas in particular and the whole Northeast states of India and the world,” they added.
