Dimapur, July 2 (MExN): Maple Society, Chumukedima organised a friendly football match with the Emporia Sporting Club (ESC), Dimapur on June 25 last at Chumukedima local ground. A press note from the ESC stated that the match was held in lieu of the ESC’s upcoming ‘Second 5-Men Soccer (Tiger-5) Tournament’ to be held at GHSS ground, United Colony, Kuda village, Dimapur under the theme: ‘A New Hope For Sportsmen’. The organizers have lined up a cash prize of Rs. 20, 000 for the winning team and Rs. 10, 000 for the runners-up alongwith trophies. Individual awards like player of the tournament, best disciplined team and highest scorer will also be given, it added. The ESC further expressed appreciation to the Maple Society for successfully holding the exhibition match.
