Dimapur, February 28 (MExN): The Director of Food & Civil Supplies (F&CS) Nagaland today informed that the deadline for updating various ration card details is March 31.
The updates include the submission of mobile numbers by Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) and Priority Household (PHH) beneficiaries availing food grains under the National Food Security Act, 2013, to their respective Fair Price Shops or District Offices.
This exercise is being undertaken as per the directive of the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Department of Food & Public Distribution, for updating the Ration Card Management System (RCMS) portal, the F&CS Director Chubawati Chang stated in a press release.
Further, beneficiaries who have not yet linked their Aadhaar to their ration cards or completed their e-KYC (Know Your Customer) were directed to do so before March 31.
Failure to complete the exercises will result in the deletion of ration cards and the subsequent curtailment of food grain entitlements, the release added.
All District Food & Civil Supplies Offices and Fair Price Shops have also been directed to coordinate with beneficiaries to ensure the timely completion of the process within the stipulated time, it concluded.
