The Marepkong Youth Association (MYA) organized a cleanliness drive from Main Police Point till Marepkong Ward in the early morning hours on April 9.
Temsuchuba, SDO (C), Mokokchung, in a short exhortation at Marepkong Community hall said that cleanliness is all about awareness and asserted the importance of keeping the town clean. He appreciated the MYA for the efforts made by organizing the exemplary social service.
Toshikaba, chairman, Marepkong ward also gave a short word of encouragement and advised the participants of the cleanliness drive.
S Mar Aier, Pastor, MBC invoked God's blessings before the participants headed out for the social service.
The objective of the initiative is to create awareness of clean living not only in body but also the surrounding where we live. The Association further urged the citizens of Mokokchung to work hand in hand to maintain cleanliness in the town.
