Zunheboto, February 24 (MExN): Marketing shed cum vegetable godown, constructed under DRDA, was inaugurated at marketing complex, Zunheboto town on February 23 by Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo, IAS.
It was later handed over to ADC & Administrator, Town Council, Moakumzuk Tzudir by Project Director cum DPC, MGNREGA, DRDA, Zunheboto, K Inavi Chishi, stated a DIPR report.
Lichamo said that the vegetable godown, built under MGNREGA, would benefit vegetable growers, buyers, and everyone else in many essential ways and added that it was one of the most required needs at the marketing complex.
The DC urged the caretaker (ZTC) to utilize the marketing shed and the vegetable godown in proper ways so that it serves the needs of the people of the district in the years to come.
The programme was chaired by APO cum Programme Officer, MGNREGA, Kuhucuyi. Short speeches were delivered by ADC & Administrator ZTC, Moakumzuk Tzudir, BDO R.D block Akuluto, Kuputo Achumi, and vegetable vendor, Hoshivi. A Dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Asst. youth leader ZTSBC, Nupato Zhimo.
