Kohima, July 21 (MExN): The Parent-Teacher Association of Modern College Kohima (MCK) organized a meeting at the college premises on July 20. The meeting was attended by the administrators, faculties and guardians and parents of Modern College students.
A press release issued by the Principal of MCK stated that the meeting was chaired Abenla Longkumer, Department of English whereby, an introduction of the administration and faculties were given. A special number was presented by members of Evangelical Union, Modern College. Dr HP Singh, Principal of Modern College addressed the parents/guardians by highlighting the importance of parent’s role in the life of their wards and being proactive in their approaches.
Kaikho losü, dean of Modern College highlighted the importance of stakeholders in the all round development of the students emphasizing the role of teachers by teaching and mentoring.
An open discussion was focused on student’s specific strength and weakness in individual subjects and students discipline in classroom. Three representatives were selected among the parents/guardian namely Rikhi Rana, H Mukam and Adaphro Chalie. The meeting came to an end with vote of thanks by Athiko, HOD of Economics Department, the release added.
