The third day of the MDFA Trophy 2024 saw thrilling action with intense competition on the field especially in the first match between Super Seniors and Zonipang FC. Both teams played a tightly contested game. Despite numerous attempts, the first half ended goalless.
Zonipang FC took the lead in the 55th minute with a goal by Imnatoshi, igniting excitement among fans. However, Super Seniors made a strong comeback with Nythung scoring the equalizer in the 83rd minute. The game ended 1-1, with both sides pushing for a winner but falling short. Super Seniors also received two yellow cards during the match.
In the second match, Eastern Wings defeated Legendary Yeomanly Misfits (LYM) 3-1. Eastern Wings scored early in the 5th minute through Nikon, and though LYM equalized quickly by Imchayanger in the 11th minute, Nikon scored again in the 20th minute. Chemtong’s 63rd-minute goal sealed Eastern Wings’ victory, leaving LYM disappointed in their tournament opener.
