Mokokchung, July 9 (MExN): The Mokokchung District Taekwondo Association (MDTA) will be organizing a district level Under-14 Taekwondo Tournament on July 15 at Ladybird School, Mokokchung. The tournament is being organized in pursuance of the Department of YR&S Annual Calendar of Activities under the Catch Them Young initiative.
The tournament will be held for both boys and girls under different weight categories. Prize money and certificates will also be presented to the winners of the tournament.
During the tournament, the MDTA will select players to represent the district in the upcoming State Level Under-14 Taekwondo Tournament to be held at IG Stadium on July 20 and 21. Therefore, the Association has appealed the parents and different schools to encourage their wards (taekwondo players) to participate in the tournament as it would open new avenues for them.
