DIMAPUR, July 28 (MExN): The Medemer Fund organised a futsal tournament ‘Henosis Cup’ as part of a fundraiser on July 28 and 29 at Niathu Sports Complex, Kohima.
The tournament was kicked off by Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS Secretary to Governor. Other guests included were Theja Meru, Chairman TaFMA, and Dr Hovithal Sothu, Project Director TaFMA.
The Medemer Fund is committed to helping children from less privileged backgrounds who are forced to abandon their education due to poverty or to work and provide for the family. Working to ensure that education is a privilege for every child, they are dedicated to bringing about change and empowering children with skills and knowledge by financially helping their parents/guardians pay for their education, setting up libraries, and providing training on self-reliant skills. The fund also deals with mental health issues by offering free counseling sessions to those that require help.
