DIMAPUR, AUGUST 13 (MExN): St Thomas Mission Dimapur in collaboration with two former students of MGM HSS Dimapur, Dr Janet MJ and Dr Suman Das and Team Tejas from Asclepius Wellness Private Limited organised a Medical Camp in the school premises on August 12.
They were welcomed in the school assembly by Principal Reji Abraham. Dr Janet MJ urged the students not to look elsewhere for motivation but to look within oneself. He exhorted the students on the importance of having dreams and goals in life. Self belief is the key to success in life, he said and asked the students to live with the belief that they are the best.
In his address, Dr Suman Das recollected his days in the school. He mentioned the names of few of his teachers and recounted how they had motivated and supported him in the school. The love, guidance and support he got from the school had immensely motivated him to pursue a career of his dream and he could achieve it, Dr Das said.
The medical camp followed after the assembly under the supervision of both Dr Janet and Dr Suman Das. They were assisted by eight of their 2003 HSLC batch mates from the school. More than 150 patients including staff members, students and parents underwent medical checkup during the camp. Free medicines were also distributed to the patients.
The camp concluded at around 3:30 p.m. The organisers promised to conduct similar camps in the school in near future. The St Thomas Mission Society and MGM HSS fraternity expressed their gratitude to Dr Janet MJ and Dr Suman Das for the initiative.
