Medongozo Kintso of Kidima village today emerged the champion title of Under-16 wrestling event of 60th Southern Angami Sports Association (SASA) Annual Sports Meet 2022 here at Khuochiezie (Kohima Local Ground).

In the final bout, Medongozo defeated Visabu Yhoshu of Kigwema village to win the title. Rokosetuo Tsochü of Mima village and Neisato Bei-o of Kigwema village were placed third and fourth position winners respectively.

The four winners will get Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively while quarter finalists will get Rs 2000 each during the valedictory function of the meet on February 4.

Meanwhile, athletics and games event will take place from February 1 at Jakhama and Kimipfiiphe, Kigwema Grounds.
Angami Sports Association (ASA) president Lhoubeizo Kesiyie will grace the event as the special guest.

Closing function has been scheduled for February 4 at Jakhama Local Ground with Videlalie Zashiimo, DIGP Borders, Dimapur as the closing guest.
