
Dimapur, April 6 (MExN): The NNC has condemned the meeting called on April 6 and 8 by “suspended persons of NNC”, stating that “they are dividing are creating division and confusion because of their shame and misuse of fund”.
This was stated in a press note issued by I. Daon Oziikum, central executive council member, Samaneanba Ao, central executive council member, Mejen Shilu, central executive council member, Zhavilhu Tacii, president, Angami Regional Council, Vidzeze Nagi, vice- president Angami Regional Council, Vimetel Sakhrie, general secretary, Angami Regional Council.
The NNC officials in the note stated: “Whatever these disgruntled six persons are doing to divide NNC, will be held responsible for this very mistake committed out of shame, greed and covetous of political power. No one will attend such meeting called by desperate and wrong persons.”
The note also stated that it condemns namely, ‘Kiumukam Yimchungru’ in particular for creating confusion, misunderstanding, misuse of fund and division among the NNC set-up. “We know this power monger and greedy fellow who cannot speak and write politics and who betrayed his colleagues and the NNC. He is responsible for all this mess and division. History will condemn him too,” further stated the note.
Meanwhile, The Naga National Council (NNC) Sumi Region through a separate clarification note issued by Kiheto Sumi, CECM and Lhoghoto Sumi, CECM stated that the general meeting held on March 29, 2011 has been called by the NNC Central office and not by the Angami Region as stated. Hence, allegations on Angami region by ‘Kimukam’ and it followers is baseless and unfounded and whatever decisions adopted in the meeting is official and no question of unofficial arises. Moreover, it is not their business to give any comments on the working presidential elections, since they are under suspension, rather than they should clarify their position on what ground they were suspended, and should clearly mention that whether they were involved in the misuse of fund.
