ZPON calls joint meeting The Zeliang People’s Organisation Nagaland (ZPON) has convened a joint meeting on January 16, 10:00 am at the Administration’s Rest House, Jalukie Town in connection with the Urban Local Bodies’ election and 33% women reservation. The meeting will also discuss issues on “non-indigenous of Nagaland state candidates,” stated a press release from Media Cell, ZPON. All intending candidates of Zeliang community, eminent leaders and likeminded Zeliang people have been requested to attend the meeting. Polling officials’ training in Phek rescheduled The Deputy Commissioner of Phek in a press note has notified that the training of presiding officers and polling officials for the ULB Election 2017 will be held on January 18 and 27 and not January 17 as notified earlier. 66th CBCC Annual General Council The 66thAnnual General Council of Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) will be held on January 20-22 at Kütsapomi village. The message in the gospel services will be brought by Rev. Khrütsoyi Lurüo, President, CBCC, Rev. Dr. Neingupe Chiero, Pastor, Pfütsero Town Baptist Church, Vesalü Swüro, Former Women Secretary, CBCC and Rev. Dr. Yiepetso Wezah, Principal, Baptist Theological College, while Vemüriyi Vadeo, Associate Professor, Oriental Theological College will lead Bible Study. Ministry Report will be presented by all the head of departments and projects under CBCC. There will be business session and general discussions. All the local churches (97 churches) under CBCC have been requested to send 6 delegates each (for churches with more than 500 baptized members) and 4 delegates each (for below 500 baptized members). All have been requested to bring their respective church’s flag. A press release from Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo, Executive Secretary, CBCC further requested all the Executive Committee members to reach the venue on January 19 before 2:00 pm.
