Dimapur, November 10 (MExN): The Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authorities (NALSA) will be organising a state-wide Legal Services Camp or Mega Camp in all the districts on November 13 for distribution of benefits of Government welfare schemes to the entitled beneficiaries.
The programmes which will be conducted through the District Legal Services Authorities and various departments and agencies is part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and Legal Services Week launched on October 2- November 14, a press release informed on Wednesday.
The NSLSA will also hold a State level Exhibition in association with the High Court Legal Services Committee at Tseminyu Town Hall on November 13. At the same time, the Kohima DLSA will also conduct the mega camp at Tseminyu Town Hall. Citizens can avail free legal consultation and drafting of affidavits, Lok-Adalat pre-litigation, free eye checkup, on spot Aadhar registration correction, senior citizens and other benefits, the release stated.
Longleng DLSA will hold the camp at Longleng Public Ground on November 13 with services like free drafting and affidavits, distribution of free seed by Agri and Horti Department, forms under disaster management, issuance of birth and death certificate, Eshram card etc. For Mokokchung, the DLSA will conduct the camp at Sungratsu Village covering Asetkong range. Benefits include assessment and certification for persons with disabilities, free legal counseling, drafting, affidavits, registration for old age pension, and disability scholarship among others.
According to the release, the Phek DLSA will conduct the camp at Phek Local ground on November 13 in collaboration with government and stakeholders. Services to be provided include free legal services, drafting of affidavits, application of beneficiaries under various medical schemes and COVID Vaccination. Meanwhile, in Mon, the DLSA will organise the Mega Camp at ADC compound, Tizit town and citizens can avail services like free indigenous certificate, scheduled tribe certificate; free name declaration affidavit, legal consultant, drafting, free health Screening, medical fitness certificate, COVID vaccination etc; Bank opening account; Post office account for girl child, among others
Tuensang DLSA will hold the camp on November 12 with Assam Rifles and District Administration at Tuensang Town at Tuensang Town Venue, CKS hall, Tuensang while Kiphire DLSA will hold the Mega camp at Primary Schools and Shalom Children Home, Kiphire on November 12.
Wokha DLSA will organize the camp at Lotsu Public ground on November 13, it stated.
Peren DLSA will hold the Mega Camp at Jalukie Town on November 13 wherein services such as free legal consultations and drafting of application and affidavits, alongside consultation on various welfare benefits will be given. Dimapur DLSA will provide benefits under various schemes at District Court Complex Dimapur on November 13.
Zunheboto DLSA will organise the camp at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex on November 13 and free services will be provided by DLSA, Medical, Social Welfare, Labour Department and Economics and Statistics Department, the release stated.
