KOHIMA, May 15 (MExN): Justice Ajit Singh, Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court & Patron-in-Chief Nagaland State Legal Services Authority will inaugurate the Mega Legal Services Camp (LSC) at Local Ground Peren town, on May 19.
With the aim to make people aware about their entitlements under various enactments and welfare schemes provided by various government departments, the mega Legal Services Camp is organised by the Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) and Peren District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with Government Departments, Stakeholders and NGOs. The Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court will also release the NSLSA’s theme song ‘Sob Ke Insaf Dibo.’
The Legal Services Camp will provide real-time registration of beneficiaries in central and state government welfare schemes, exhibition of welfare legislation and schemes by core departments, awareness on various government schemes, benefits and entitlements, legal counselling and legal assistance. Besides free distribution of legal literature, booklets and pamphlets on basic laws, legislation and display of NALSA documentaries will also be part of the Legal Services Camp. More than 30 government departments, stakeholders and NGOs will also set up stalls at the mega Legal Services Camp.
