Mekokla Students’ Union 72nd annual session held

Wokha, December 27 (MExN): The Mekokla Students’ Union (MSU) held its 72nd annual session with Eliyamo Yanthan, VDB secretary as special Invitee and PB Sen Yanthan as theme speaker at MSU Office, Public Ground Mekokla Village on December 27. 

The special invitee challenged the students to be responsible in all round development of the village. He urged them to be very active in promoting peace and development in the village, a press release received here stated. 

Speaking on the session, PB Sen Yanthan emphasised on the Current Situation in Mekokla Village under the theme ‘Enumero Conflab: the Current Context in Mekokla Village.’ The young author stressed on the importance of Love and Unity in the society. He lamented that the culture of love, peace and unity being passed on by the forefathers have long been replaced by hatred, disunity, division in both the society and the church. He also challenged the villagers and the Students' body to be proactive in restoring peace and harmony in the village. 

The Literary session started with an invocation prayer by James Yanthan, Catechist St Paul Catholic Church, compere were Thüngbemo Kikon and Sorenbeni P Yanthan, the blessing of the students was invoked by Rev Dr LL Kikon, Pastor Mekokla Baptist Church and benediction by Bentsolo A Kikon.

The session observer was Enibemo Y Lotha, Former General Secretary of MSU and vote of thanks was proposed by Lithüngbemo Kikon, General Secretary, MSU.
