DIMAPUR, July 6 (MExN): The organization under the name and style of “United Joint Village Councils” which has been recently in operation by some vested individuals which appeared in some official correspondence matter was collectively condemned during the joint meet of members of Village Council’s and Chairman’s, G.B’s, and VDB Secretaries of East Dimapur.
The village leaders strongly expressed their disapproval of such illegitimate unions and stated that “the members has strongly condemned on unauthorized organization”.
This was brought into highlight during the recently held joint meeting on July 5 at Purana Bazar Durga Mandir premises under the chairmanship of H. Khutovi Awomi and Bimal Jigdong as Sessional Secretary, which was attended by member and representatives representing 10 villages of East Dimapur.
The members during the one-day meet further deliberated on various issues on public grievances and certain problems relating to the lack of infrastructure faced by the East Dimapur residents.
The meeting further unanimously resolved to establish one forum under the nomenclature of “East Dimapur Village Councils Union” for which the executive members were left to be constituted during the next meet.
This was informed through a press communiqué signed by the Chairman Purana Bazar Village Council, East Dimapur.
