Women’s U-23 team lose to Jarkhand
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 18 (MExN): Nagaland beat Assam in the Under-23 Mens One Day Trophy in Cuttack today.
Nagaland won the toss and elected to field first, restricting Assam to 213 runs in 49 overs. Joshua with 6 wickets was Nagaland’s most successful bowler, followed by Ujwal with 2 wickets.
Nagaland managed to achieve their target, scoring 217 runs in 40.5 overs losing only 3 wickets. Nikhil from Nagaland scored a century with 108 runs, while Shamphri scored 40 runs.
Meanwhile, in the Women’s Under-23 T20 Trophy, Jarkhand beat Nagaland by 8 wickets.
Nagaland won the toss and elected to bat first managing to score only 35 runs in 20 overs losing 6 wickets. Jarkhand managed to achieve the target by scoring 39 runs in 8.2 overs losing just 2 wickets.
