Menuokhriezo Metha is champion of NASA under-15 Wrestling Meet 2026

Menuokhriezo Metha today emerged the champion title of Northern Angami Sports Association (NASA) Under-15 Wrestling Meet 2026, held at Tsütuonuomia Indoor Stadium, Kohima Village.

Menuokhriezo Metha pocketed a cash prize of Rs 20,000 sponsored by Dr Sevono Sorünuo, DFO, Kohima.

He also received a champion running trophy, donated by Lt Rükhietuolie (Akhie) Liezietsu.

Mhaphruovizo Thevo stood 2nd position and awarded with Rs 15,000, sponsored by Bendangwatila Dzüvichü.

Vimethazo Zhale secured the third position and received Rs 10,000, sponsored by Er Ruokuozenuo Mere.

Kevisede Chiese placed fourth position and awarded with Rs 7000, sponsored by Peteneiü Rame.

The participant prizes at Rs 20,000 was sponsored by Yantala Khoubve.

Kekhrie Pfukha, advisor, Angami Youth Organization (AYO) handed over prize to the winners.

In presidential address, NASA president Vizosielie Khoubve extended greetings to the units of NASA, sportspersons, leaders and dignitaries present.

He challenged all the players to give their best and bring laurel to themselves and the range.

Earlier, the formal programme was chaired by NASA vice president Vikholie Kire while NASA wrestling secretary Thepfukhotuo Medom administered oath to 24 wrestlers from NASA Group- A, B, C, and D.

The matches were conducted under the supervision of chief judge Neisavotuo Whuorie.

Meanwhile, NASA informed that the 67th NASA Wrestling Meet (Senior) 2026 will be held on February 4 at Khuochiezie (Kohima Local Ground).
