Traffic open on NH-202 along Mokokchung-Longsa-Chare Tuensang, December 20 (MExN): All the commuters plying on NH-155 (202 new) have been informed that the traffic closed for rehabilitation of bridges on NH-202 along Mokokchung-Longsa-Chare route has been opened for traffic with effect from December 21, 2016. Executive Engineer, PWD (NH), Division-III, Tuensang on behalf of the department in a press release has extended deep appreciation to all the commuters for their kind co-operation. State VDB association keeps agitation in abeyance Dimapur, December 20 (MExN): The Nagaland State Village Development Board Association (NSVDBA) has kept in abeyance its proposed agitation. The association had threatened to stage agitation if the State Bank of India fails to release the wages of MGNREGA workers held up in the State Bank of India branches across the state by December 20. In a press statement, the association general secretary, Manthungo Kikon said the decision to withhold the agitation was arrived following the effort of the department concerned and the SBI to release the wages at the earliest time possible. The association has informed the officials of the district VDB associations to be aware that the wages will be released anytime soon. Pre Christmas celebrated at Athibung Peren, December 20 (DIPR): The 36 Assam Rifles unit organized pre-Christmas celebration at Helipad, Athibung Town on December 19. The celebration included games and distribution of gifts to the participating students from Athibung Town and Jalukie Government High School. The students were also encouraged to keep their body fit and maintain discipline. The Assam Rifles also inspired them to join the security forces. Final e-roll for East Dimapur Town Council Dimapur, December 20 (MExN): ADC of Niuland & ERO, East Dimapur Town Council, V. Lovitoly Sema has notified that the list of amendments to the Final Electoral Roll for the constituency/ constituencies of the East Dimapur Town Council has been prepared with reference to 01/01/2016 as the qualifying date and in accordance with the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2001 and the Nagaland Municipal Election Rules, 2003 made there under. A copy of the said roll together with the said list of amendments has been published and will be available for inspection in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur from December 20, 2016.
