MGM HS School sports meet begins

DIMAPUR, MARCH 27 (MExN): The MGM hr Sec Schools (MGMHSS) 34th annual sports meet started on March 27. The programme began with an invocation prayer by teacher Rosy followed by presidential speech by the principal Fr. Dr. PS Varghese who in his deliverance stated that sports and games are part and parcel of education and should be played with mutual respect and with true sportsmanship spirit irrespective of any differences. He further pointed out that discipline is another important thing they need to learn in teaching learning evaluation process.

 
The event further continued with flag hoisting by principal followed by the National anthem. After which students from four different houses presented march past and oath taking. Headmaster B Paul declared sports meet open for the year 2019. Students played indoor and outdoor games enthusiastically. The four days long sports meet will continue at the school ground on March 2 and SEWAK ground on March 30 and 31.
