Kohima, November 30 (MExN): Nagaland Minister for PWD (R&B), G Kaito Aye, visited the ongoing Central Roads Fund (CRF) project "Suruhuto to Asukhomi" on November 29 along with departmental officers. The objective of the visit was to understand the situation on the ground and discuss measures for the early completion of the project, as informed by a press release from the Minister’s PS.
The Suruhuto-Asukhomi road is the shortest route connecting the assembly constituencies of Suruhuto and Aghunato, as well as the Eastern Naga areas with Zunheboto district. Blacktopping work has commenced from the Suruhuto side, it added.
During the visit, Aye directed the respective authorities undertaking the construction to mobilize and deploy more workforce and machinery for the completion of the work by December 2023, as assured to the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). The Chief Engineer, Additional CE, EE (Atoizu), and his team also visited the ongoing CRF project under which the road from Naghuto (New) to Pukhobokita (Coco Doyang Road) is being upgraded.
