
Kohima, December 27 (MExN): In a significant move, a meeting took place on December 17 at Pangsha village, under Noklak Sub division, Tuensang district between Nagaland Minister for Soil and Water Conservation and Land Resources Development Mr. P. Longon and four Member of Parliament (MP) from Myanmar. The four MPs who attended the meeting were Rusankyu, Lathun, Myako and Samo.
A delayed report reaching Kohima, informed that the meeting particularly discussed the issue of development work in Naga inhabited areas in Myanmar and also to maintain peace and tranquility on both sides of the areas.
The four MPs from Myanmar also vowed to carry forward the development works in the Naga inhabited areas and agreed to work together for the betterment of the Nagas.
Meanwhile on December 26, P. Longon also inaugurated the Power Department office in Noklak. In his address he urged upon the denizens to pay their electricity bill to the government in order to get power supply. The function was attended by ADC Noklak Temsu, ENPO President Pongom, KTC President W Chuba, government officials and hundreds of the villagers.
